(Private, custom-designed journeys)

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all journeys designed and organized by Hilltop Sheep.

By confirming a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Nature of the Service

Hilltop Sheep designs private, custom-made, multi-day journeys tailored to each traveler.

Each itinerary is:

  • personally designed

  • based on individual preferences

  • developed through direct communication

Due to the bespoke nature of the service, planning work begins before the journey takes place.

2. Booking & Payment

To confirm a journey:

  • a 20% deposit is required at the time of confirmation

  • the remaining balance is due before the departure date

Exact payment deadlines will be communicated during the booking process.

Planning and design work begins once the deposit is received.

3. Non-Refundable Deposit

The deposit covers:

  • itinerary design

  • research

  • coordination with local partners

  • planning time

For this reason, the 20% deposit is non-refundable once the journey design process has started.

4. Final Balance

The final balance must be paid by the agreed deadline prior to departure.

Failure to complete payment may result in the cancellation of the journey.

5. Changes to the Itinerary

Since journeys are custom-designed:

  • minor adjustments may be made during the planning phase

  • changes requested after confirmation may affect the final price

Any changes will be discussed openly before proceeding.

6. Cancellations by the Traveler

In case of cancellation:

  • the deposit remains non-refundable

  • additional payments may be subject to the cancellation policies of third-party providers (accommodations, guides, experiences)

Details will be communicated clearly if applicable.

7. Cancellations or Changes by Hilltop Sheep

In rare cases where changes or cancellation are necessary due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, safety concerns, availability issues), Hilltop Sheep will:

  • propose suitable alternatives

  • or, when not possible, provide an appropriate refund for services not delivered

8. Responsibility

Hilltop Sheep acts as a travel designer and coordinator and is not responsible for:

  • delays caused by external factors

  • personal injury, illness, or loss during the journey

  • changes due to force majeure events

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Italian law.
