Each journey designed by Hilltop Sheep is custom-made and developed specifically for each traveler.
For this reason, cancellations are handled with care and clarity.
A 20% deposit is required to confirm a journey.
This deposit covers:
itinerary design
research and planning time
coordination with local hosts and partners
Once the planning process has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.
If a journey is cancelled by the traveler:
the planning deposit remains non-refundable
any additional payments already made may be subject to the cancellation policies of third-party providers (such as accommodations, guides, or experiences)
Whenever possible, Hilltop Sheep will communicate any applicable third-party cancellation terms clearly and in advance.
The remaining balance is due before the agreed departure date.
If the final payment is not received by the deadline, Hilltop Sheep reserves the right to cancel the journey.
In this case, the deposit remains non-refundable.
Because each journey is bespoke:
minor adjustments may be possible during the planning phase
significant changes requested after confirmation may affect pricing or availability
Any changes will always be discussed openly before proceeding.
In rare cases where changes or cancellation are necessary due to unforeseen circumstances (such as safety concerns, weather conditions, or availability issues), Hilltop Sheep will:
propose suitable alternatives whenever possible
or refund any services not delivered
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover:
cancellations
delays
illness or injury
unforeseen events
By confirming a journey, you acknowledge and accept this Cancellation Policy.
NB: If you have any questions about cancellations or flexibility, feel free to get in touch — clarity is always part of the conversation.
